If you’ve been waiting for the right moment to buy a VPN, Black Friday is as good as it gets. Over the years I’ve used ExpressVPN, Surfshark, and Proton VPN in my everyday routine, so I have firm opinions about which 2026 promotions are actually worth your money. Unless noted otherwise, every price below refers to the longest plan and applies only to the first billing term. Let’s start with the deal I like best.
Proton VPN: 75% Off and the One I Actually Use

Proton VPN is my daily driver. It comes from the Swiss team behind Proton Mail, its apps are open source, and its no-logs policy has been audited by independent parties. It’s also one of the few providers recommended by Privacy Guides.
For Black Friday, Proton VPN Plus on the 2-year plan costs $2.49 per month, which works out to 75% off. Mail, Drive, and Pass are discounted by 60% as well, and the promotion runs through November 30. For a full breakdown of plans and prices, see our guide to the Proton Black Friday deals. If you’re weighing it against a big competitor, our Proton VPN vs NordVPN comparison may help.
Surfshark: The Cheapest Way In, With No Device Limit

This Black Friday, Surfshark costs €2.49 per month instead of the usual €7.41, plus 3 bonus months. Its biggest selling point is that there’s no cap on connected devices, so a single subscription can cover your whole household. The apps are simple and quick. I used Surfshark for years before switching to Proton.
More details are in our Surfshark Black Friday guide. One practical note: if you send email through a VPN, this walkthrough on fixing SMTP problems with Surfshark could save you a headache.
NordVPN: A VPN and Antivirus in One Subscription

NordVPN takes up to 78% off its 2-year plans and adds 3 extra months on top. The Basic plan starts at €3.49 per month, but the best value is Complete at €3.99. For just 50 cents more, you get next-gen malware protection, an ad blocker, a password manager, and 1 TB of cloud storage. If you want even more, Ultimate Max (€7.99) adds a dedicated IP address and cyber insurance.
All the plans are explained in our NordVPN Black Friday overview, reachable through the button below.
hide.me: A Price That Doesn’t Jump at Renewal

hide.me is a smaller provider whose no-logs policy has been independently verified. For Black Friday, the 2-year plan comes with 6 extra months: 30 months for €69.99, or €2.33 per month. What I like most is the price guarantee, since the plan renews at the same price, which is rare in the VPN world. If you’d like to try before committing, there’s also a free plan.
ExpressVPN: Fast and Polished, but No Longer My First Pick

In its Early Access Sale, ExpressVPN offers up to 80% off. Basic costs €2.49 per month on the 2-year + 4 months plan, Advanced is €3.99, and Express Pro is €6.49. The service is fast and mature, but it’s no longer my favorite. It has belonged to Kape Technologies since 2021, privacy-focused sites like Privacy Guides don’t recommend it, and renewal prices are steep. I lay out my reasons in more detail in my ExpressVPN review. You can also read about last year’s ExpressVPN Black Friday sale for comparison.
